Freezer Reset Penny List
Dollar General is going to be having a freezer reset. This means that some of the items in the freezer section will be discontinued and will penny out. These items are supposed to be removed from the freezers before they penny. If they are not removed or some are missed, you can buy them for just one penny.
The freezer reset will take place starting April 6th and will go on a 4-6 week rotation, so if your store doesn’t penny on the 1st week, check each Monday for the next few weeks until your store does penny. I have seen a few people say that their store never pennied, (YMMV).
Now here are the important things you need to know and keep in mind. Fist is if something is expired or recalled they can refuse sale, after all, safety first. Next, the store gets lists (or Drive Line does) and are supposed to remove the items from the sales floor (freezer area).
Some general rules for penny shopping that you need to be aware of (especially if you are new to penny shopping are as follows:
Do not ask Dollar General employees about penny items. This is an adult secret scavenger hunt.
Always scan items with your DG app set to the store location you are shopping in/at.
What is a penny at one store may not be a penny at another store, or what is a penny for one person may not be a penny for you. This is called you’re miles may vary (YMMV).
Do not make a mess or destroy the area/store. The employees are overwhelmed as it is.
